Is Marie Osmond Dead?

The Osmond name is cherished in the entertainment business, and a new generation is now exposed to it. The Osmonds were a successful family of eight boys and one girl, seven of whom would become renowned. They were brought into the public eye at an early age. However, not all of their experiences were good.

Olive Marie Osmond, an actress, singer, businesswoman, and television personality, was born in Ogden, Utah, on October 13, 1959.

Raised in an unconventional show business family, she was the only girl among nine children. The Osmond Brothers were formed when a few of her elder brothers began singing together.

The group’s musical career took off following an appearance on The Andy Williams Show in 1962, under the management of their father George. The twins started appearing frequently on the show and eventually became global pop icons.

Marie also made an appearance on Williams’ show as a toddler. Though the presenter made fun of her as the “newest Osmond brother,” she soon joined her well-known siblings on stage. Osmond noted in her 2001 memoir that she didn’t have much time for a typical upbringing.

They worked diligently, “memorizing scripts, learning to sing a song in Swedish … for a foreign tour, spending long days dancing, playing instruments, and singing.” She also disclosed that she had experienced childhood sexual assault.

Now To the Big Question

On October 7, 2023, the ‘Deceased Actors Hollywood’ YouTube channel released a video in which it was said that Marie Osmond, a childhood celebrity and longtime TV personality, had passed away from a shrimp allergy.

“Sad news: Marie Osmond has just passed away at the hospital. The funeral is expected in 3 days,” the description for the video said. This is untrue; Osmond is still alive.

On October 13, 1959, in Ogden, Utah, Marie Osmond, born Olive Marie Osmond, was a spectacular addition to the already famous Osmond family, which was well-known for its amazing singing abilities and engaging stage presence when it came into the world.

‘Deceased Actors Hollywood’ is not a reliable information source. The website relies on sensationalized narratives that suggest well-known figures, including Dolly Parton, Ozzy Osbourne, and Jack Nicholson all of whom are still alive, have also passed away.

The Osmond video says the BBC “helped” spread the word about her death to other news organizations; however, the BBC hasn’t made any such claims. Nothing on reliable news sites suggests that Osmond has passed away.

Regretfully, these allegations have been reported on other websites, including Celebrity Screen Star, ThisWasTV, and Military News, and are not exclusive to Deceased Actors Hollywood.

Osmond also has an active Instagram account, having posted ten times in the three weeks before this piece was published.
